Wilson tends to work through a number of different mediums depending on the subject matter he is looking at. His work combines his love of comics and cartoons with photography and digital images. Wilson often tackles issues around politics and religion using his own experiences as a basis of creativity. He likes to focus more on the aesthetic of an image, and the experience it brings the viewer rather than the concept.
