Liz bases her work around two areas, her freelance work and her personal work.

In freelance, Liz works with mainly models who want to work on their portfolios and network. Liz specializes in mainly Artistic, Alternative, Fashion, Fetish, Portraits, and Pinup with modeling photography.

In her freelance work, Liz would describe her work as “Being honest and telling a story, but letting the audience have their opinion”. She mainly uses a mixture of photography, typography and illustration to express her feelings that “pop” into her mind. The she asks audiences to look over them and see what they think without her standing around telling the audience “What they should see, feel or think”. Liz’s work has been called taboo, fetish based and surreal before…and Liz agrees with these statements fully.

Liz is also a visual performance artist, who works mainly in the burlesque field (Stage name: Lilybet Grey). She is also a life drawing model (which has been her “day job” for almost five years).

Bio

I currently live in Manchester and I am currently doing a degree in Interactive arts at MMU. My day job is as a life drawing model at a college (and I have worked as one in several colleges for years).

I have been drawing according to my family since I was two years old; it was my first way to communicate with the world. Although I am not a strong realism painter or drawer, I like to think I am more of a surrealist, in the way that Frida Kahlo once said “I paint my own reality. The only thing I know is that I paint because I need to, and I paint whatever passes through my head without any other consideration”.

I first picked up a camera when I was five years old but I did not take much of an interest until my early teens into my college years. I have been a freelance photographer for about four years now.

I am brutally honest because people cover things up, or they tell you how to feel or think, so I decided to rebel against everything and use all of my passion in my art.
